Gay Pond?
My wife and I were recently arguing whether Judaism is both a race and a religion, or just a religion (she, along with many others, argue the latter). When Dara gets backed into a corner, she might dust this one out:
"Well, I'm just a retarted fish in a gay pond, so... lose, lose."
How can you top that?

I thought she argued that it was just a religion and you said that it was also a race. I'm confused.
Also, did you mean retarted (as in tarted again) or retarded as in mental? Either way, you can't top that.
Oops- I meant the latter. I corrected it. Dara does argue it's just a race (although Tay Sachs disease is prevalent among Ashkenazi Jews... I've never heard of an anti-religious disease... hmmm?)
And Dara always means retarded as mental. That's my wife.
Myke screwed up. He meant to say that I feel being jewish is a religion and not a race. We are an ethnicity though. This means we are a religion with a distinct culture/traditions. If someone wants to argue this with me...bring it on!!
My question about "retarded" was actually meant to mock your misspelling of the word. All in all, a confusing post. Perhaps you could say it was kind of "retarted."

Mike, you even jacked up your comment, saying "Dara does argue that it is just a race." Dara, who I assume is commenting as "anonymous" refutes your statement.
But, Mike does have an interesting (slbeit misstated) point about the disease, which I assume is true (despite Mike's twisted argumentation style). Sounds a bit like sickle-cell disease, which is most commonly found in descendants of people from sub-Saharan Africa. Some races apparently are more prone to certain diseases, while others can carry unusually strong immunities to others. I don't know how these traits could be passed down through behavior (i.e. cultures/traditions), unless it's found in some food that is unique to a certain people. Interesting.
Exactly, Lar. Now if there's one thing I should learn from all of this, it's to pay attention when I post, and then pay even more, diligent attention when I comment on how I screwed up my own post. D'oh! I guess I'm retarded. (Something about all this just feels wrong)

Sounds like you guys should watch the new Survivor in which they divided the tribes by RACE! They compete for the $1 million. Quite a story!

I heard about survivor, segregation style. I heard they're going to do contests that reinforce racial stereotypes. Example:
-Fried-chicken contest. Advantage: Blacks.
Fence-climbing. Advantage: Latinos.
-Gilligan-style, coconut car drive-off. Advantage: NOT the Asians.
-Affirmative action contest. Advantage: not the white guy.
What a stupid idea for a show. I hate survivor and I always have, but this takes it to a new level.
You broke your mothers heart when you said you hated survivor, It one of her favorite shows.
I read about this show some what earlier and I really think that not much good can come out of this season. It might be funny though, seeing these stereo types getting broken.
